Warm-fuzzy Wednesday
Have you been catching up on all the 2012 Super Bowl ad action? As always, it’s been pretty hit-and-miss. Of all the stuff I’ve seen this year, this piece by Budweiser is the one I want to share with you. It didn’t air in the good old US of A, but Canada.
Two recreational ice hockey teams were enlisted by some filmmakers to help them make a documentary. Shortly after warm up, professional announcers and a fan flash mob storm the arena and let the players experience what it might be like to play professional hockey.
Why do I want to share this with you?
We’ve been preparing for a pretty big brand experience here at Clems (it might be the biggest brand experience Tasmania has ever seen). And past cracking the big idea, our journey has been about details; focusing on making sure that everything we do is the best it possibly can be. While we’ve been lucky that things have gone relatively smoothly, it’s easy to get bogged down and forget about the big picture.
This is a nice reminder that our event is going to make people feel something; that all the stress (and the swearing) will be worth it, because we’ll be creating the best type of brand ambassadors possible. And it will be a beautiful thing to behold.
I hope watching it gives you a warm-fuzzy too.

Hey Bridge, when someone says “kerfuffle”, I can’t help getting warm and fuzzy!
Agreed, it’s almost a mandatory!
