We’re into it and wondering what the fuss was about
Here’s a snapshot of the new rating season against all people from 5 to 15 February. Top rating program in prime time is, you guessed it, Southern Cross Sunday News, followed very closely by SX Saturday News. My Kitchen Rules has made an entry at numbers 3, 5, 6 and 7 but it appears we get into the first half and then fade from sheer exhaustion, or maybe we’re secretly raiding the fridge at the mere suggestion of food, because the second half we certainly have lost interest every screening so far. Actually, truth is, Tasmanians are a sophisticated audience and we’re done with this program format and we’re ready to move onto something new.
Packed to the Rafters still does strike a chord with us at number 8 with 63,016 viewers and the One Day Series, Australia v Sri Lanka came in at number 9, 62,381. ABC’s New Tricks landed on number 10 with 61,800 viewers. Cringe value, Southern Cross’ please Marry My Boy made it to No 17 and what did I say about Tasmanian audiences being sophisticated? Biggest Loser romped in at number 81, I think we’re over it.
